Frequently Asked Questions

  • A cable traverser is a traversing device that guides wire evenly across the spool during winding. Our traversers use a ball-screw drive: the controller reads speed pulses from the take-up shaft and moves the screw so that each turn of wire sits exactly beside the previous one, with the pitch set by the wire diameter value entered on the screen.

  • All three traverser models — the microcomputer controller (XL-TR-01), the touch-screen all-in-one traverser (XL-TR-02) and the guide-rail traverser (XL-TR-03) — are specified for wire diameters from 0 to 100 mm.

  • The controller continuously samples speed pulses from the winding shaft and adjusts the traverse motion in real time in a closed loop, so the traverser stays synchronised with the take-up speed during acceleration, deceleration and spool build-up.

  • XL-TR-01 is a microcomputer traverser controller with a 2.8" or 4.3" panel plus control panel. XL-TR-02 integrates the controller and a 7", 10" or 15" touch screen in one unit. XL-TR-03 is a guide-rail traverser for high-speed, heavy-duty operation, with stroke lengths of 300/400/500 mm (customisable), 400 W or 750 W servo drives and ±0.1 mm traversing precision at up to 120 m/min.

  • The traverser series provides a traversing force of 200–5000 N/m, covering applications from fine cable to heavy wire.

  • The line is designed for copper and brass flat wire, copper busbar, enameled wire and enameled flat wire production.

  • Inlet wire diameter is 4–12 mm. Finished flat wire dimensions are A 2–16 mm × B 0.2–5 mm.

  • Maximum line speed is 120 m/min, with a traversing precision of ±0.1 mm using ball-screw traversing.

  • The line comprises a wire pay-off decoiling rack, a round wire milling machine, a precision calender, a flat wire milling machine, a moving disk transversal rewinding unit, an electronic control system and a cooling system. The stages can run standalone or in-line, and a wheel-type online annealing unit is available as an option.

  • Pneumatic tension-lever speed feedback, spray-type die cooling, ball-screw traversing, online laser diameter measurement and pneumatic spool loading and unloading, all under PLC and touch-screen control with a total power of 65 kW.

  • It is a precision take-up machine that winds wire onto spools using our self-developed microelectronic winding controller, with a moving disk traversing system, servo drives, speed tracking and automatic compensation.

  • Most models handle wire from 1 to 14 mm. The 300 type recoiler (XL-OR-06) is specified for fine wire from 1 to 6 mm, including 3D printing filament.

  • Winding precision is ±0.5‰ and meter counting precision is 3‰ across the recoiler series.

  • The precision recoiler (XL-OR-05) accepts spools PN400–800 mm; the 300 type (XL-OR-06) uses spools with a 300 mm inner diameter and 500 mm outer diameter (customisable), width 100–150 mm; the fully enclosed 630 (XL-OR-07) and the active pay-off (XL-DL-08) accept PN630–800 mm. For hollow coil winding, the 650–1260 model (XL-OR-09) handles large-section cable and heavy copper and aluminium wire.

  • XL-OR-05 is the precision microelectronic-controlled recoiler; XL-OR-06 (300 type) targets fine wire, narrow strip and small spools at up to 300 m/min; XL-OR-07 is a fully enclosed, dust-proof 630 model for high-speed cable plant winding; XL-DL-08 is an active pay-off machine; XL-OR-09 winds hollow coils for flat, round and profiled wire; XL-OR-10 has a rotating base for flexible station placement.

  • It trims, slits, shapes and rewinds stainless steel strip, armoring strip and narrow metal strip, using a hydraulic expanding shaft for stable tension and precise metering.

  • XL-SS-11 handles strip 5–25 mm wide and up to 2 mm thick; XL-SS-12 handles 1–10 mm wide and up to 1 mm thick; XL-SS-13 handles 8–25 mm wide and up to 2 mm thick.

  • XL-SS-11 and XL-SS-13 run at up to 150 m/min. The 300 type (XL-SS-12) runs at up to 300 m/min for narrow and ultra-thin strip on precision small spools.

  • XL-SS-11 is the standard unit for stainless steel and armoring strip with a hydraulic expanding shaft and servo constant-tension rewinding. XL-SS-12 is the high-speed 300 type for narrow, ultra-thin strip with a 4 kW traction drive. XL-SS-13 is the 800 type for medium-wide and armoring strip, with cutters adjustable up-down and front-back and customisable cutter count.

  • Yes. Complete lines can be configured around drawing, edge trimming, bright acid pickling, ultrasonic cleaning, annealing and coating stages, with variable frequency speed control, PLC touch-screen control, servo constant-tension rewinding and oil-cylinder coil-diameter control.

  • It is a take-up machine that winds soft wire into barrels for packaging and downstream processing, instead of onto spools, using a plum-blossom winding pattern that keeps the wire tangle-free.

  • Soft wire from 1 to 6 mm diameter, including automotive wire, welding wire and electronic wire.

  • Maximum line speed and winding speed are 600 m/min, with a traversing precision of ±0.5 mm.

  • When a barrel is full, the machine changes to the next barrel without stopping the line — important for high-speed winding. A vibration motor settles the wire in the barrel and increases the fill level.

  • Barrels with a 500 mm outer diameter, 300 mm inner diameter and 500–700 mm height.

  • It pulls wire through cable extrusion, cabling and flattening production lines at a controlled speed and tension.

  • Belt traction machines in 500 kg and 1200 kg versions, wheel traction machines in 300 and 500 versions, and single-wheel traction machines from 150 kg to 2000 kg pulling force.

  • The wire tractor series runs at up to 200 m/min with ±0.1 mm traversing precision, using pneumatic clamping and variable frequency or servo drives.

  • Belt machines (500 kg / 1200 kg) use a flat belt or synchronous belt with pneumatic clamping for stable pulling on extrusion and cabling lines. Wheel machines use PU-covered wheels: the 300 version saves space with a bottom speed-regulating tension lever for alloy wire; the 500 version uses pneumatic tension regulation and is used for steel strip traction.

  • Yes. The pre-bending traction machine uses a servo motor synchronised with the upstream pre-bending equipment, a thickened wear-resistant synchronous belt and pneumatic tensioning, for pulling hard wire such as titanium alloy after pre-bending.
